Coming to the NWSL in 2024, Bay FC is the first NWSL team in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The team is co-founded by four U.S. Women’s National Team legends—Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton, and Leslie Osborne—in partnership with global investment firm Sixth Street.
This year, Bay FC won one of three coveted bids for NWSL expansion, paying a record $53 million fee to the NWSL which was the most ever paid for a team in the league.
